This high profile Government Department is renowned for implementing policies that widely affect the Australian community. This branch is responsible for ensuring effective service delivery to indigenous Australians particularly with a Health focus. The program in question has a strong focus on service providers in alignment with the 'Closing the Gap' Scheme within regional areas of Australia.
Within this program an area focuses on the development and improvement of the contracted providers to ensure that specific needs throughout the Department is met. As a program officer you will have a strong understanding of general APS practices particularly those that are direct and public facing in nature. You will posses exceptional written output, attention to detail with the ability to prioritise urgent and sometimes competing agendas.
An understanding of contract management procedures will ensure you can effectively and quickly begin to achieve the requirements of the program. Furthermore, a client focused attitude will ensure that you will be able to engage and advise internal and external stakeholders on the progress of the program. You will work in a collegial environment that is recognised as a warm and engaging area, that also has an interesting and rewarding output.
