My client, a national leader in the field of bulk materials systems is seeking an experienced Engineering & Projects Manager to join their operations based on the Victorian / NSW border.
Your excellent hands on management skills coupled with your project management & engineering prowess will be served well with this national market leader who undertake the design, construction & installation phases of works, not only within the local region, but also on a national basis.
Main duties & responsibilities will include:
• Total management of the engineering groups & functions within the business
• Maintaining all financial & scheduling aspects of works to ensure allocated budgets & time frames are strictly adhered to
• Overseeing all design solutions to ensure compliance with scope, specifications & quality
• Ensuring clients receive the best possible solutions & outcomes
o This function will ensure client confidence & repeat business
• Mentor, train & encourage all engineering team members with regards to personal development, industry knowledge & technology advancements
• Assist with the preparation, analysis & submission tenders and quotes
o Ensuring that the submitted tenders are the best possible outcomes and making appropriate recommendations accordingly
• Negotiate with third party suppliers of all areas & types
• Exploiting new opportunities where possible
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Formal Mechanical or Structural Engineering Qualifications preferred (or appropriate industry experience)
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience in an Engineering or Project Management role within an engineering or manufacturing environment is mandatory
• Strong leadership & team building skills
• Good understanding of contractual & commercial terms and agreements
• Excellent hands on experience in the execution of projects
• To be a self-starter, able to work independently drive required outcomes
• To be able to communicate and influence required outcomes at all levels
• To be able to influence key stake holders
• Excellent written, verbal & computer skills
• A good understanding of OHS & E requirements
