About the Organisation and Area
The Lithgow City Council covers an area of 4,551sq km, located 140 kilometers west of Sydney and within the eastern part of the Central West Region. The Lithgow Local Government Area lies almost wholly within the Wiradjuri Aboriginal nation, with the Gundungurra nation situated to the south and the Darug nation to the east. It is made up of one large urban centre called Lithgow, two townships called Portland and Wallerawang and numerous villages, hamlets and rural localities of varying proximity to Lithgow, and is home to approx 20,160 people.
About the Opportunity
Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Group Manager - Corporate and Community to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Council's Corporate and Community Department in accordance with Council Strategic, management, Corporate and Business Plans within legislative and budgetary requirements.
The Corporate and Community Department is responsible for Finance, Community and Culture, Information Technology, Tourism, Corporate Communications and Customer Services and the managers and supervisors in these areas report directly to the Group Manager.
