This Graduate Maritime position provides technically robust solutions for port side/port land side structures and foundations tasks to agreed time, budget and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Description and Desired Qualifications
- Undertakes project roles and tasks as appropriate to experience and as agreed with the management of the maritime teams
- Liaison with other technical and professional staff at all levels of seniority and disciplines
- Provide engineering services on various projects as required
- Technical Report writing as necessary.
- Takes direct responsibility for the delivery of allocated tasks
- Promote quality improvement and ensure CH2M HILL business principles and business systems are adhered to in respect to project delivery
- Assisting the Project Manager with project management and financial control as required
Basic Qualifications
- Familiar with Australian and local codes and technical standards applicable to the design development of port side/port land side structures
- Advantage international codes and standards applicable to the maritime business (i.e. IBC, British Standards, PIANC, OCIMF, etc.)
- Civil Engineering degree or Certificate in Civil Engineering or Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) in Civil Engineering or Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Post graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering considered an advantage
- Able to provide references which demonstrate excellent track record
- Ability to work in a professional manner within a team environment
