Campus Infrastructure & Services (CIS) is responsible for the built environment of the University of Sydney campuses and is considered as an employer of choice for consultants and contractors alike.
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our competent and market leading team in the Projects Division. The division is responsible for the assessment and delivery of projects varying in scale from $10,000 to more than $100 million on time, within budget and to a quality that exceeds stakeholder expectations.
Reporting to the Projects Divisional Manager, you will:
• lead and manage the delivery of projects that have gained University approval from conception to project completion
• lead, coach and mentor the CIS team
• manage the development of comprehensive project briefs in consultation with key stakeholders
• manage the delivery of projects, using appropriate project controls to ensure projects deliver onobjectives and are completed on time, within approved budget and to quality standards
• manage external consultants and contractors
• identify and analyse emerging risks to the project and recommend mitigation strategies.
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
• extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of planning, procuring, delivering and commissioning major infrastructure works projects in the field of construction, design, FFE and/or contract management
• significant experience in the management of complex infrastructure programs and projects preferably gained in a large, complex and decentralised work environment
• track record of on time and on budget delivery performance
• high level people management skills and the capacity to lead external consultants
• experience in the development and implementation of project management standards, policies, systems, controls and reporting arrangements
• relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in construction, engineering, project management or related fields.
