John Holland's Communications business is a leading provider of communication network solutions, specialising in the design, civil construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance of networks to all major telecommunication providers throughout Australia.
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to plan and deliver works for an ongoing project roll out within NSW.
Key responsibilities include:
- Control, monitor, report and co-ordinate progress and planning on site
- Provide technical support to supervisors and sub-contractors
- Procure permanent materials and services that comply with specifications
- Overseeing Project Quality Plan (PQP) requirements
- Cost controlling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, sub-contract claim review and commercial negotiation activities
- Interpreting design drawings
- Reviewing construction processes
- Scheduling construction activities
To be successful as a Site Engineer you will have be a tertiary qualified engineer, and have a demonstrable history in the civil construction industry with at least 2-3 years site experience. Ideallyyour experience will include construction of steel structures, communications towers, foundations and high voltage power transmission towers. In this position you will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, contracts administration, quality assurance, recording of variations and liaising with all project stakeholders. Experience in OH& S, risk assessment and legislative compliance is essential. Your understanding of budgets and forecasts is highly desirable.
