Our client, a premier industry association, advocating on behalf of their members within the Financial Services sector seek a Policy Advisor to provide policy advice for one of their key portfolio areas focussing on consumer affairs.
This position provides an outstanding opportunity for a policy professional to take ownership of a specific portfolio and work within a driven and highly professional team. You will be focussing on consumer issues, building strong professional relationships, initially working on complex legal aspects of public policy, development, formulation and analysis.
The role will develop consumer policy issues relevant to the industry in consultation with key stakeholders (eg. Member companies, State and Commonwealth governments, regulators and other associations) and identify relevant industry trends together with preparing submissions and advocacy to Government.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess relevant tertiary qualifications preferably in law, otherwise economics, politics or similar field. You will have excellent communication skills, including ability to speak and write concisely. You will bring circa, 3 to 7 years professional experience within either government, industry or a member based organisation. Your adept interpersonal, networking and negotiation skills will see you excel in the role.
