Reporting to the Team Lead – Quality West you will primarily be focused on providing Quality support to In-Service Support Submarine maintenance activities ensuring compliance with all relevant corporate, customer, contractual and statutory requirements.

As part of this role you will be responsible for; assigning inspection and test plans, reviewing draft and completed maintenance work packs, receipt inspection of critical materials, internal audits, and second party audits of suppliers to ASC. During nominated periods you will be the Quality representative for specific short duration Projects.

This interesting and challenging role will also require you to spend time on board the Collins Class Submarine conducting second party verification of component and system testing, tank closures and other inspection tasks. This work involves working in confined spaces and at heights.

Working as part of the Quality team in WA, this role is essential in ensuring process compliance is maintained and managed effectively. Ideally, you will have a technical background supported by training as a Quality Auditor and experience in the application of ISO 9001 in an engineering environment.

There may be a requirement to undertake shift work during busy periods along with additional hours and weekend support when required. A flexible approach to working hours is therefore a requirement of this role.
