Pay and Benefits

You’ll be paid while you undertake your training, and receive free healthcare and subsidised accommodation. Upon completion of Military training, you’ll enjoy a starting salary package of approximately $63,000 p.a. including superannuation.

Employment Location

You may be posted to any base within Australia or possibly overseas, although overseas postings are limited.

Entry Requirements

You must be at least 17 years of age and an Australian citizen, or if you hold a Permanent Residency status you may consider your application. Additional age, medical and fitness guidelines may apply.

Education Requirements

Trainee

Completion of Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English, Mathematics, Science and one other subject, or a Certificate III in an automotive discipline.

Qualified
Applicants must be qualified vehicle mechanics holding a minimum trade qualification of Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Heavy Road Transport).
