About us

London’s eight Royal Parks are some of the best-loved and most beautiful spaces in the world. Millions of Londoners and tourists visit The Royal Parks each year. We manage these wonderful spaces: 5,000 acres of urban parkland, which provides unparalleled opportunities for enjoyment, exploration and healthy living in the heart of the capital.

About the role

This is your chance to help make the plantation more accessible through a £1.5 million project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

This project is committed to improving access to the public and changes to the features at the site will enable, you to strengthen relationships within the local community and support and encourage new visitors to the plantation. You will deliver and extend the current volunteer programme, develop sustainability strategies, increase resources and improve partnerships to ensure sustainability of activities beyond the lifecycle of the project.

About you

Passionate about parks, you will have a proven track record of delivering community engagement work in a heritage or educational environment. Experience in developing educational resources and managing project activities would make you stand out, but equally important is your ability to manage, encourage and support volunteers, develop innovative community partnerships and deliver administrative requirements.

As the role involves working with young people and vulnerable adults, an enhanced CRB check will be required.
