About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, Comcater has a fantastic opportunity for a full time Workshop Technician to join their Electrical Repairs team based in Newington, Sydney.
In this newly created Mon-Fri role, you'll be performing service, repair, inspection and maintenance activities on products supplied by the company and serviced in the workshop.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include:
Ensuring all activities are performed following available instructions and information;
Diagnosing technical issues with machines;
Supporting internal and external customers;
Undertaking general workshop duties and customer warranties;
Spare parts ordering and dispatch; and
Reporting all service activity to ensure updated data is in the system.
Comcater is looking for a customer-focused individual with the desire to really make this role their own!
To be successful, you will be have a restricted or full electrical licence as well as experience as an appliance technician, electrical fitter/mechanic or a refrigerant mechanic with certificates. A proven background in maintenance and repair is essential as is a demonstrated mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
In addition, you'll require significant fault finding experience, with good fault diagnostic skills and the ability to work autonomously in a workshop environment. Previous experience with appliance trouble shooting and repair as well as circuit diagram interpretation is required, as are excellent communication and organisational skills. A focus on OHS and compliancy is also essential.
Although not essential, experience in repairing and/or maintaining commercial food service equipment would be highly regarded.
