The main duties of this role include:
- Ensure the portfolio’s budgets cover the life of the project plan and any future operational budgets are included in the project estimates and forecasts.
- Implement the benefits management strategy across the portfolio
- Track spend against change budgets through the application of all necessary cost controls
- Determine projected and realised value from all projects for project managers
- Assess benefits planning and realisation across a number of projects and portfolios
- Prepare and maintain cost plans, project plans and milestone tracking services for all projects and prepare project close reports. First line assessment of project change requests for cost and schedule implications
- Ensure adherence to schedule and cost control systems and approvals across assigned projects, through the provision of a planning and cost data collection, analysis and reporting capability
- Support the new project funding process through the provision of cost and planning data
- Provide information and governance on the tracking or projects and programmes on behalf of project and programme managers, to facilitate the achievement of key targets.
The ideal candidate for the role will have worked within a similar project support role reporting to management level and working with senior business managers to deliver quality analysis. You must have a formal Accountancy qualification.
