Save the Children Australia seeks a Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy Advisor to join the highly regarded Public Affairs Department. This key position will lead the implementation of our humanitarian policy and advocacy strategy to ensure that children’s needs are met and heard in humanitarian emergencies around the world.
To succeed in this position you will need substantial experience in humanitarian programming or policy in an emergency/conflict environment.
You will have an excellent knowledge and understanding of humanitarian policy issues, and be a formidable communicator, capable of drafting succinct briefing papers, letters and other policy products targeting a range of different audiences. Ideally you will also be adept at writing persuasively for the media.
We are looking for someone who shares our vision of a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
