About the company:
This large, forward thinking organisation is looking for an Assistant Finance Officer to join their small and busy team. This company prides themselves in being dynamic and offering flexibility to all employees.

About the role:
This is an ongoing part time position covering a maternity leave. The Assistant Finance Officer is a member of a small team dedicated to providing high quality customer service to staff within the organization and provides support in the management of the of the general ledger, assets and in the preparation of financial reports.
 

Duties include:
The Assistant Finance Officer reports to the General Ledger Finance Officer as well as the Manager of Financial and Capital Management.



  •     Processing Payroll Journals
  •     Checking of account codes utilising Oracle and the Payroll system
  •     Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger and projects database
  •     Prepare cash flow estimates
  •     Provide financial information to clients
  •     Provide assistance with analysis and evaluation of general ledger data, operations and structures for management
  •     Assist in preparing internal and external financial statements
  •     Assist in the posting of journals after verifying their compliance with the general ledger policies and procedures
  •     Provide assistance with asset processing
  •     Provide assistance in administering all new project accounts openings including project classification and associated administrative duties.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will have highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively clarify and answer inquiries from a range of people. You will have efficiency in spreadsheet and database applications as well as the ability to use initiative; to plan, organise and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines whilst working under minimum supervision and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
