About the Role
Metcash is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to liaise with our customers to ensure accounts are paid within terms to ensure maximum cash flow with minimal bad debts. Demonstrated experience in a similar credit based role combined with the ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders will be essential for success in this position.
You will:
- Adhere to credit policies, procedures and processes to allow maximum sales while limiting the risk of losses
- Follow up and obtain payment on all overdue accounts
- Manage and maintain customer accounts ledgers
- Provide effective and efficient reports on all outstanding accounts
- Manage and maintain customer relationships, respond to customer queries and suggest solutions
- Provide back up to the position assessing customer credit applications
About you:
- You will have proven experience in a credit environment, with a solid understanding of credit terminology and principles
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to focus on win-win outcomes
- Strong organisation skills
- SAP experience would be advantageous
