Our Operational Quality & Improvement Department is seeking an appropriately experienced paramedic or emergency care professional to support the development and maintenance of Ambulance Victoria’s (AV) Clinical Practice Guidelines and Clinical Work Instructions using best practice principles. This is a full time, permanent position located at Doncaster, however job sharing will be considered.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Support the Clinical Practice Development Specialist in the development and maintenance of AV’s Clinical Practice Guidelines and Clinical Work Instructions using best practice principles
- Apply the best available evidence and data to support the development and evaluation of Clinical Practice Standards
- Assist to monitor trends in clinical performance and quality across AV’s operational workforce to improve patient outcomes
- Assist with the drafting of reports and recommendations to the Medical Advisory Committee
The successful person will hold a current clinical qualification such as an ALS Paramedic or equivalent and possess sound knowledge of the delivery of acute health care services. In addition, you will have proven experience with clinical governance systems, contemporary clinical practices and a strong interest in continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software applications is also essential.
