We have an opportunity within our Operations Technology team for either an experienced Technical Architect or an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong technical vision to step up into a Technical Architect role. The Operations Technology Team develop a suite of global enterprise solutions for managing the complex transaction requirements of Computershare clients including a data capture system, a workflow system, an integrated call centre system, a document depository and archive system.

You will take an active part in our regular version upgrades and support our production environments, whilst also playing a key role in process, architectural and technology improvements. As well as having the necessary technical capabilities, it is equally important that the Technical Architect has exceptional communication skills in order to successfully influence, negotiate and collaborate with people across the global business to arrive at the best solution. You will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and enjoy working well with others in a collaborative style whilst gaining exposure to new technologies such as HTML5.

Key Responsibilities:


  •     Design, development and review of new requirements
  •     Research and implement process, architectural and technology improvements
  •     Become an expert in our products
  •     Provide production support when required

Essential Key Selection Criteria:

  •     Substantial commercial software development experience
  •     Enterprise solutions experience
  •     VB.NET or C# commercial software development experience
  •     SQL Server / T-SQL commercial software experience
  •     N-Tier Architecture experience
  •     Web Services experience
  •     ASP.NET experience
  •     Active and involved team player
  •     Degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or Information Management

 Desired Key Selection Criteria:

  •     Working understanding of MVVM and MVC design concepts
  •     Experience using HTML 5
  •     Exposure to Windows Identity Framework and Security Token Services in a commercial environment
  •     Experience using Expression Blend and XAML in a commercial environment
  •     Team Foundation Server Experience (TFS)
    Experience in a leadership/mentoring role
