They form part of a Global Multi-National with turnover in excess of $3B and local revenue surpassing $300M. This opportunity has come about due to an internal move and presents as a genuine senior position within the business reporting the the Director of Finance.
Position Accountabilities:
- Directs the Company’s accounting functions and submits reports that reflect earnings, profits, cash balances and financial results for management, statutory and taxation purposes.
- Participates in the development of the Company’s accounting policies and procedures and administers approved accounting procedures.
- Contributes to the preparation of financial and operating statements.
- Supervises the maintenance of the Company’s general ledgers and banking activities. Strong reconciliation focus.
- Co-operates with external auditors retained to audit accounting procedures and records.
- Ensures all taxation transactions comply with current legislation.
- Administers all state based legislative reporting i.e. Payroll Tax and WorkCover
Key Selection Criteria:
- Mandatory CA/CPA of at Least 5 Years
- At least 10 years post qualifications experience, within medium-large organisations with a background developed in Manufacturing/Distribution and a strong understanding of "Cost Accounting & Analysis"
- Exceptional Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence thinking at Senior level and provide advice and guidance with respect to Working Capital Positions, Margin and Overheads
- Possess a strong work ethic, supported by a positive "Can Do" attitude and outlook, with the in-built mantra to do what you have to do to get the job done , with 100% accuracy!
- Have an amiable disposition that enables you to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Act as a mentor in the development of junior staff and continue with your own ongoing personal and professional development initiatives.
