The Role
This position reports to the Campus Manager and is primarily responsible for effective student management practices and facilitating the successful delivery of Computer Power Institute’ s courseware both on campus and online, across a variety of shifts.
As the Academic Manager your major responsibilities will be:
- Promoting a positive work environment for both staff and students
- Sustaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Staff inductions, professional development, performance, productivity, mentoring and growth of the IT Academic and administrative support teams
- Monitoring resources and participation in achieving the overall business goals
- Involvement in the Industry Advisory Group, along with external industry stakeholder engagement
- Conducting regular Academic team meetings
The right candidate will have a professional attitude, team focus, be customer centric, together with a proven blend of team leadership experience, qualifications and experience. You will also possess:
Management experience in the education/vocational sector
Strong leadership and coaching skills
Effective administration and decision making skills within a commercial operation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective cross cultural communication and presentation skills (both oral and written)
Technical Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
Proven commercial vocational management experience, or substantial Team Leader experience looking to take your next step
Flexibility – to work outside of core business hours where necessary
Current Police and Working with Children Check (or willing to undergo a check if you don’t have one).
High Desirable
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Comprehensive understanding of IT
