Computershare IT Internal Audit is part of the broader, global Computershare Risk & Audit team with IT and non IT audit personnel located in each of the primary Computershare regions. IT Audit's main client is CTS (Computershare Technology Services) who provide all IT related infrastructure, development and business support services across the Computershare regions.
Reporting to the Global Head of IT Audit, you will take responsibility for Planning, performing and delivering IT focused reviews of CTS departments, business applications and supporting processes with a view to improving controls, increasing efficiency and decreasing risk through leading our IT Audit team. This role is a fabulous opportunity within a global organisation for a dedicated professional, with people management experience, who has demonstrated a strong ability to commit to, and meet, delivery expectations.
This is a high profile role where audits are designed to help the business achieve their objectives by providing focussed review and consultancy. All of our work is planned in conjunction with CTS and Business Management and is focussed on the highest priority areas.
Primary Responsibilities
This key role will see you being responsible for audit planning, execution, reporting, as well as consulting on special projects and managing a specialised team. This will include (but not be limited to):
• Contributing to the annual audit plan with considered input based on Business Unit and company knowledge
• Performing planning stages of audits incorporating full review of audit standard considerations
• Performing audit activities in an effective, timely and quality manner
• Completing audits in accordance with CPU internal audit process and protocols
• Ensuring the effective communication (both verbal and written) of audit output
• Ensuring that issues identified are fully understood by the auditee and appropriate action plans are defined as a result
• Performing special and ad-hoc projects to Professional standards, including internal audit process related projects
• Coaching, managing and leading by example to further enhance professional relationships with auditees and other control groups (e.g., Compliance, Legal etc.)
• Contributing to building a strong, open, diverse, collaborative team and create an environment where team members feel empowered and encouraged to exchange ideas candidly
• Demonstrating our principle of "audit once, satisfy many", through exhibiting exceptional stakeholder management skills
Essential Selection Criteria
• Seasoned experience as an IT Auditor or Operational/Financial Audit background
• Working knowledge of an Internal Audit environment
• Chartered Accounting firm or Consulting experience
• CPA or CA, CISA/ CISSP qualified or similar
• Proven results driven focus
• An ability to remain flexible and adapt to a dynamic and changing business environment; and
• An ability to manage expectations. ie.interact, express and support assessments of business lines to all levels of management
• Hands on experience with IT projects, working in an IT department as well as specialist skills in technology or IT Audit (including knowledge and experience in ISO27001) are highly desired, but not essential.
• You will enjoy working in an autonomous role, where you will be required to think and act proactively as you manage your time and budget to achieve expected outcomes. You must bring a demonstrable ability to keep your knowledge of the compliance environment up to date and have a good understanding of COBIT, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and other industry standards.
• In addition, prior experience of Windows, VMS, SQL, Web applications and complex technology environments would be desirable.
Your report writing skills will be of an exceptional standard, as will be your verbal and general written communication skills.
Your people management and leadership experience and skills will assist you as you lead our team. You will need to be sensitive to, and supportive of, the operating objectives of the company and the technology environment, while ensuring that appropriate control practices are adopted and maintained.
