Must have Engineering/Industrial Automation background Target Industries - manufacturing, energy and utilities etc (SCADA, PLC, Process Control Systems solutions selling)
Our client, a global organisation is currently seeking to appoint an Account Manager/Business Development Manager to service all their existing and new clients in South Australia. In this role, you will be selling software products and services by calling on all existing and prospective customers in the defined territory.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and execute account plans, incorporating fundamental enterprise software sales strategies to deliver accurate sales forecasts
- Expedite resolution of key customer complaints and problems
- Leverage global and local partner relationships that can positively influence the purchase of products and services
- Maintain personal knowledge and skill levels with products and sales support applications according to guidelines established by client through recurrent annual training within the Company or designated external resources
- Make written and verbal sales presentations addressing the business needs of the customer to propose technology-based solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
- Relevant direct IT sales experience with a track record of success
- Ability to sell based upon business value delivered, not feature/function
- Ability to know how to get the right information from the right people (both internal and external)
- Ability to speak to all levels of an organization
- Self-motivated, autonomous, customer-focused, positive, outgoing, and a good listener
