Mott MacDonald manages the Health Resource Facility (HRF) which provides technical expertise and
advice to Australia’s aid program. Mott MacDonald works to improve health and health systems in developing countries. Through our assignments we have contributed to health strategy and policy development, and design, implementation and the review of AusAID’s country and regional programmes.
We are looking for a senior health and international development specialist to join the team in Canberra. Alongside undertaking some consultancy work, the role will provide specialist services to Australia’s aid program. These will include technical management of consultancy assignments, policy advice, technical briefings and knowledge and professional development services.
The successful candidate will have:
• Extensive experience of working with and/or for multilateral and bilateral donors and their partners
• A firm grasp of the ‘architecture’ of international aid to health and issues related to effectiveness and results
A higher degree in public health, health policy and systems; strong networks in the Asia Pacific region and; an excellent understanding of regional health issues are desirable.
