BMA is currently offering the unique opportunity
for Train Drivers (both Class 1 and Class 2) to join the Rail Operations Team
based at Hay Point Coal Terminal, Mackay.
In this pivotal role Drivers will operate within
safe work practices to ensure the reliable delivery of coal from the BMA's mine
sites to the Hay Point Terminal. There will be a high level of start-up
commissioning activities and it is critical that all duties be performed in
accordance with railway rules, regulations and safe operating procedures.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Operate all trains on the Aurizon Network
Goonyella System lines consistent within the BMA operating Rules, Regulations
and Safe Work Procedures applicable.
Provide services including but not limited to
mainline operations (two up and Driver only), marshalling and yard activities,
coal loading and unloading, relieving drivers up track and all other associated
tasks with regard to Rail Operations.
Carry out routine checks, preparations and
instructions including provisioning of locos, trouble shooting and minor fault
rectification within the scope of competence.
Accurately complete documentation and data entry.
Undertake mentoring of trainee drivers to your
level of competency excluding assessment.
Participate in any continuous improvement
programmes.

interaction with other personnel, both internal and external to BMA
Strong computer literacy including use of remote
applications
Please note as a prerequisite for this position
applicants must hold an unrestricted, Open C Class license.
