Position
Reporting to the Supply Manager Site Services, you will manage a portfolio
of sourcing categories at our Yandi Mine site.
This is an exciting opportunity that would suit a dynamic supply
professional seeking site based supply experience and new career opportunities.
Your main responsibilities will include but not
be limited to:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development;
- Build relationships and educate key stakeholders on Supply process and governance requirements;
- Support site based contract owners in carrying out formal contract review meetings;
- Proactive administration and renewals of a portfolio of Site Services contracts and sourcing categories;
- Renewal of expiring contracts. Plans in place and agreed to by the relevant customer at least 3-6 months prior to contract expiry;
- Contractor Management (KPI assessment, Customer feedback) and price reviews;
- Address commercial issues raised and vary contracts as required including updating or expanding scopes of services;
- Tender, negotiate, contract for and deliver commercial arrangements for any new site service requirements or as directed by the Supply Manager Site Services;
- Administer the request for tender process and ensure BHPBIO Supply policies are followed;
- Support Strategic Sourcing or Supply Process improvement projects within the Site Services area; and
- Participate and support activities such that Supply meets the Business Plan and meets Department and Global KPI's
Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate you will possess the
following:
- University Degree – preferences are Commerce/Economics; Law; Engineering; Science or some combination thereof with post Graduate Qualifications;
- Familiarity with ERP Supply Systems/Procure to Pay processes (preferably SAP) and Contract Management/Supplier Relationship Management packages;
- At least 5 years exposure to developing, implementing and managing site based Service Contracts;
- Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships; and
- At least 3 years exposure to complex Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Contracts will be highly regarded.
Location
You will be based at our 'Yandi' mine on a fly-in fly-out 5/2 4/3
roster. Yandi is located approximately
170kms North of Newman West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO
village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, squash, tennis and
basketball courts, golf driving range, mini golf, netted cricket pitch, beach
volleyball court and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own
ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
