The Position
Reporting to the Supervisor - Heaters, you will be responsible for safely
executing maintenance work within the Heater Maintenance area as per BHP
Billiton processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions. Your duties
will include:

• Executing work orders and
conducting routine maintenance activities, inspections and checks to mobile
plant, equipment and utilities efficiently and of a high quality.
• Provide input into root cause
analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
• Initiate updates to work
procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment as per the
1SAP process.
• Ensure adequate scoping of
corrective work to facilitate the planning process.
• Ensure returns of unused or
reparable materials are processed accurately.
• Ensure timely and accurate
reporting of all events and hazards and participate in workplace investigations
or observations as required.
• Review and request updates to Work
Management and other Master Data as required (e.g Task List and Work
Instructions)
This position is on the day shift maintenance crew (Monday to Friday), on a
4 day per week, 10 hour per day work pattern.
With an overriding commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Team Work,

Skills and Experience
In order to be successful in this role you will demonstrate experience in
working in the maintenance area, preferably in either mining or construction,
with experience in scaffolding. You will ideally have a HRWL with tickets for
cranes, scaffolding, rigging, dogging, EWP and Working at Heights. You will be
a team player who genuinely wants to make a contribution and you will strive
for the continuous improvement of tasks and procedures.
