Broadmeadow Mine is an underground operation that uses a punch longwall
method to extract coal. Broadmeadow coal is blended with open cut coal from
Goonyella Riverside Mine to produce Goonyella Coking Coal. The mine is located
north of the Moranbah Township.
About the role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for the
effectiveness of underground maintenance planning activities across site. This
includes planning for Longwall, Development, Services and Infrastructure
Maintenance activities. As leader of the
maintenance planning function on site, this position will ensure the effective
creation and delivery of maintenance plans to the work teams for execution.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide strong leadership to the planning team;
- Develop long term maintenance plans and strategies across the department;
- Identify process and business improvement initiatives within the department;
- Drive 1SAP compliance and best practice through work management processes;
- Coordination of the planning and scheduling of maintenance with production teams; and
- Manage the performance and output of direct reports.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a similar role is highly desired;
- Experience in 1SAP and an understanding of work management processes is a must;
- Previous planning experience ideally within mining or heavy industry; and
- The ability to engage with key stakeholders and to foster a positive working culture.
